Dear Flight Attendants,
I received a call on Friday from Tom Fay advising me that Ryan International Airlines had filed chapter 7. That means that Ryan has closed the door forever and will not be reopening.
I know that this is hard to hear again, but sadly it is the last communication from Ryan that we will have. What happens now is that the Flight Attendants still have to file their claims with the court for unpaid vacation, etc. In the interim, the flight attendants can send the claims to Richard Wrede’s attention in the Rosemont Field Office and Richard Wrede will work out with the other attorney’s in getting them filed:
ATT: Richard Wrede AFA-CWA
6250 N. River Road
Suite 4020
Rosemont, IL 60018
If you have sent them to AFA International, they will be forwarded as well.
On a personal note, there is not much more to say. I have enjoyed working with and for each of you. I hope that you continue on in your life to create another amazing family like the one that we had at Ryan.
I remember starting over 10 years ago, not knowing what would be in store for me. This path has brought me all over the world, and giving me a life lesson and education that could never have been learned in any classroom. I will take each experience that I had with all of you and treasure it. I will bring all of this to my next adventure. I want to thank you all for your contribution to my life and for helping me learn the person inside me that I never knew was there.
Our AFA website and email will be active for a bit longer before we will have to close it down. My AFA number will be turned off in a couple of weeks. You can feel free to contact me via Facebook or LinkedIn.
I wish you all happiness and success. I hope that you find a job that fits who you all are. Please don’t ever forget what we learned together, and that is the value of each person, a team, and unity.
In Solidarity,
Adam C Pflueger
MEC/LEC President
